Dunia Finance, a UAE-based financial services provider, has launched its innovative learn and earn initiative aimed at developing Emirati talent.
Its Kawader programme (‘kawader’, which means cadres or pillars in Arabic) offers Emiratis the opportunity to learn, work and advance their careers through the use of the best educational tools, training programmes and development schemes.
The three programmes within ‘Kawader Dunia’ target participants at various career levels and offer them the opportunities, tools and guidance they need to advance professionally.
‘Al Tamouh’ is a graduate learning programme which allows students to gain academic as well as work experience in the financial sector.
‘Al Waaed’ is a programme that offers students part-time roles which would benefit them financially and expose them to a highly professional workplace. There are already 14 participants under this programme at the Dunia corporate office.
‘Al Nukhba’ is a dynamic career growth programme for experienced professionals to advance to the top in their area of expertise. As a quality organization making use of the best in technology and processes, Dunia will incorporate the most up-to-date learning, training and human development tools to ensure its employees perform at the highest levels and achieve all their career goals.
“The development of UAE talent is a top priority for us at Dunia and ‘Kawader’ is a platform for us to realize that objective,” said Rajeev Kakar, CEO of Dunia.
“We are committed to using the latest technologies and techniques to coach and train Emiratis joining Dunia under the ‘Kawader’ programme by helping them advance their careers in the financial sector,” he added.
“ Kawader highlights Dunia’s commitment to national priorities and our conviction that human capital is the most valuable long-term resource of any organization. We understand that developing youth is crucial to the future of the UAE and we will continue to strive towards that goal.”
‘Al Tamouh’ underlines the use of modern educational tools, which will be run by Dunia in collaboration with the prestigious SP Jain Center of Management in Dubai. The programme starts on August 16 and is open for all Emiratis with a bachelor’s degree or a higher diploma and the necessary computer and communication skills.
‘Al Tamouh’ commences with a three-month management certification programme run by S P Jain at the Knowledge Village. Upon completion of that phase, students will be offered full-time roles with Dunia.
“Helping develop Emiratis is our way of giving back to community where we have received a lot of support from KHDA and Dubai Academic City,” said Nitish Jain, president, S P Jain Center of Management.
“The ‘Al Tamouh’ programme itself is co-designed by Dunia and our S P Jain professors to train and groom young individuals for invigorating careers ahead. It is an excellent example of industry/academia partnership and we are honoured to be selected by Dunia to be their partners,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
